Getting through the last few weeks of pregnancy!

Being pregnant is hard in the first few months and the nausea and tiredness is like nothing you had experienced before. But once you get to your 2nd trimester things start to look up and you start to feel like yourself again….for a while! That is until the 3rd trimester kicks in and you are in your last few weeks of pregnancy. No only are you incredibly tired, emotional and slightly anxious, you are also getting very heavy, and doing every day tasks can be quite difficult! Then try throwing an energetic toddler into the mix!

During my first pregnancy I spent most of my time sitting on my sofa eating snacks and catching up on my favourite TV shows, but things were a little different the second time around! The Queen like way I was treated during pregnancy No1 had been long forgotten & I was running after, entertaining and caring for baby no.1 with a rare thought here and there about pending baby No 2! I couldn’t even imagine having a 3rd pregnancy. I am sure I would be so busy I would forget I was pregnant until labour pains kicked in!

Try as much as possible to do nothing at all as much as you can in the last few weeks. It’s ok to have family or friends watch your toddler while you rest. Do not feel guilty!! He or she would probably enjoy getting out of the house as Mummy is probably not that much fun at the moment anyway…
